Job summary

Carolinas Center For Oral & Facial Surgery in Charlotte, NC seeks an Oral Surgery Assistant I to join our fast-paced practice. This full-time on-site role supports surgeons during minor procedures, handles instrument setup, sterilization, and EMR documentation, and participates in room turnover with supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of approved nitrous oxide course required.
• Anesthesia-related continuing education preferred or required within the stated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Set up for non-sterile and sterile procedures with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies (under supervision).
• Assist surgeon during minor procedures including suctioning, retracting, passing instruments, and airway support until core competencies are met.
• Circulate on procedures and complete EMR entries, paperwork, and logs.
• Perform other tasks such as capturing radiographs, taking dental impressions, intraoral scans, removing splints and sutures, and placing packs.
