Job summary

TC Bar and Book in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a part-time Food Runner to deliver food to tables promptly and professionally. You will assist guests with needs, ensure orders are complete, and help maintain a positive dining environment.

The role requires excellent service skills, basic math, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Background check and Serve-Safe certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
• Excellent customer service and communications skills required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short notes, and memos.
• Basic math skills and capacity to write simple correspondence.
• Bilingual skills helpful, but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food items to designated tables in a timely and professional manner.
• Understand dining areas layout to ensure correct table delivery.
• Assist guests with additional food item needs.
• Ensure complete orders are delivered as ordered.
• Maintain a friendly, productive work environment and report concerns to the restaurant manager.
• Operate cash register and handle money quickly and accurately.
• Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
• Support other areas as needed by management.
