Job summary

Bluestone Lane is seeking a disciplined Cook to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced cafe setting. You will prepare, cook and assemble meals using Bluestone Lane recipes, ensuring quality, temperature and presentation align with our standards.

The role requires at least one year of prep/line cook experience, DOH or Safe Serve certification, and a strong ability to work under pressure while maintaining teamwork with FOH and BOH colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s prep/line cook experience, preferably in a high-volume cafe environment.
• DOH accreditation or Safe Serve Certified.
• Attention to detail.
• A team player and have proven experience working on a team to achieve great performance.
• Can work in a high stress, fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes positively to the team environment, delivering exceptional experiences to locals.
• Prepares, cooks and assembles all food correctly, following standard recipes and dietary orders as required.
• Works with front of house teammates to ensure accurate and efficient food orders for 10-minute ticket times.
• Maintains a clean, hygienic workstation and follows closing procedures; reports issues to supervision.
• Receives and stores deliveries and ensures proper food handling and dating.
• Communicates effectively with back of house and front of house teammates to ensure local satisfaction.
