Job summary

Goode Company in Houston's Memorial area is seeking a Food Runner to deliver dishes promptly and accurately, connecting the kitchen and service team through clear communication and attentive support.

You will match plates to tickets, communicate allergies, preserve food temperature, assist with table maintenance, and help ensure a welcoming guest experience. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred and a Food Handler Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong memory, menu-learning ability, urgency, accuracy, and communication.
• Ability to carry multiple plates safely and move efficiently through busy service areas.

Responsibilities

• Match plates to tickets and deliver food to the correct guests and positions.
• Use accurate menu language and communicate allergies, modifications, and missing items promptly.
• Protect food temperature, presentation, and safe handling during delivery.
• Assist with table maintenance, water, clearing, resets, and guest requests as assigned.
• Maintain clean, stocked service and pickup areas.
• Complete opening, running, closing, and assigned side work.
