Job summary

Hometown Grocers, Inc. is seeking a friendly Cashier to ensure fast, accurate checkout and exceptional guest service. You will handle transactions, assist guests, and help maintain store cleanliness at the register area.

The role requires alertness to promotions, accurate cash handling, and the ability to communicate guest needs to the Guest Services team. Occasional scheduling may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to process transactions accurately using the register system.
• Strong customer service and communication with guests.
• Attention to detail in scanning and pricing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests in friendly conversation while making eye contact and processing transactions.
• Bag items as needed to ensure products arrive in good condition.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
• Process transactions and manage cash and media at registers.
• Communicate guest requests to Guest Services leadership as needed.
• Keep register station tidy and stocked with supplies.
• Meet quality standards with 100% accuracy at 10 am and 5 pm.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
