Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a cashier to provide quick, friendly checkout experiences and assist customers in-store. You'll help customers at the register, support self-checkout, and ensure accurate bagging and payments, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

There is exposure to a fast-paced retail environment with opportunities to support other departments and learn new skills while helping customers save time and money.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience with computer use (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
