Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a friendly cashier to ensure customers have a positive exit experience at the register and from the store. You’ll help customers get the best value, handle payments, and assist with exchanges in a fast-paced environment.

Most time is at the register, with potential to assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts. If you enjoy helping customers and solving problems, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• Minimally lift 10 lbs unassisted or up to 15 lbs with accommodation.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
