Job summary

Oniverse in Torrance, CA is seeking a Sales Lead to champion client service and contemporary fashion in a fast-paced store. You will build genuine client relationships, demonstrate proactive selling, manage follow-up, operate the POS, and keep the store visually inviting.

This role reports to Store Management, supports new openings, and participates in nationwide contests. The position offers hourly pay ($18–$28), plus bonuses and benefits such as medical, paid time off, and employee discounts,

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of contemporary fashion retail experience preferred.
• High standards of customer service and advanced selling techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
• Capacity to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds, stand for long periods, bend, stretch, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine relationships with clients through thoughtful and consistent outreach.
• Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude in all situations, consistently exceeding client expectations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Use multiple means to capture customer information, including phone and written follow‑up.
• Manage client books and follow‑up on shopping experiences and product care inquiries.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Maintain full knowledge of product benefits to maximize sales opportunities.
• Utilize fashion expertise to inspire others and build collaborative partnerships in a team‑focused environment.
• Support managers in maximizing efficiency of in‑store operations, such as daily replenishment and markdown processing.
• Partner with the Manager to analyze internal systems, tracking store and individual KPIs.
• Maintain visual and housekeeping standards of the store.
• Operate the POS system and handle email, opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure ongoing store cleanliness, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all areas.
