Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fashion Merchandiser. Ideal candidates should have experience with production and communications with overseas offices. Outstanding candidates will be contacted for a Zoom interview, and select candidates will receive an invitation to our New York office for an in-person interview.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

This is a full-time on-site role for an Fashion Merchandiser located in Manhattan, NY. The selected candidate will be a part of the production team in communicating with buyers, warehouses, and offices, as well as preparing and proofreading charts and presentations. Key responsibilities include following up on new developments, working with shipping documents, shipment followup, communicating with overseas offices, and working with other production coordinators.

EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Daily correspondence with our regional offices and customers to manage development and production.
• Manage samples and communication with vendors and regional offices, including providing comments on samples and sending production approval
• Prepare swatches for presentation
• Proofread and prepare charts for production
• Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management
• Preparing packages of swatches and samples for mills

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Fashion Merchandising or a related field.
• Experience in the fashion industry.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of color and design.
• Familiarity with production software and tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fitting is a plus.
