Job summary

Solomon Page is seeking a Freelance Associate Merchandise Planner in the United States to partner with Omni-Merchants and drive sales and margin plans across multiple channels. The role focuses on developing and maintaining plans tied to financial targets for assigned departments.

You will support pre-season and in-season planning, review trends, and present revisions to executives while managing markdowns and POs. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of merchandise planning or retail buying experience.
• Strong retail math knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist Planner/Senior Planner in pre-season plans across channels.
• Review in-season trends with Omni-Merchants to revise plans for profitability.
• Present monthly revisions of merchandise plans to executives.
• Develop item plans and forecast markdown effects on sales and profitability.
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support team projects and participate in MPC and planning meetings.
• Manage markdowns and purchase orders to maintain fiscal control.
• Develop knowledge of Omni-Planning tools and build plans at item level.
