Near is seeking a creative Fashion Designer to join a US-based brand's team, developing fresh junior women’s collections. This hands-on role focuses on trend research, concept development, CADs, and tech packs, collaborating with a US design team.

It's a full-time remote contractor role requiring collaboration during Eastern Time hours. You’ll turn trends into original designs and detailed CADs for upcoming collections.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or Apparel Designer in women's junior/ contemporary fashion.
• Strong portfolio with CAD illustrations and relevant creative work.
• Knowledge of fashion trends and Gen Z market.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD, and tech-pack development.
• Understanding of silhouettes, fabrics, garment construction, and commercial design relevance.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, trend-driven Fashion Designer to join our client's team and help develop fresh collections for the women's junior fashion market.

This is a hands-on, creative role focused on trend research, concept development, and apparel design.

You will collaborate with a US-based design team to turn emerging trends and inspiration into original designs and detailed CADs.

Note: This is a full-time, remote contractor role requiring collaboration during Eastern Time (ET) working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Research emerging fashion trends, styles, colors, fabrics, and consumer preferences in the women's junior apparel market.
• Develop original design concepts and fresh ideas for upcoming collections, aligned with the brand's aesthetic.
• Create detailed CAD designs, technical sketches, mood boards, and visual presentations using Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare tech packs and design specifications to communicate creative concepts clearly.
• Collaborate with the US-based design team to refine ideas, incorporate feedback, and develop cohesive collections.
• Manage design assignments independently, delivering creative, high-quality work on time.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or Apparel Designer, preferably in women's junior fashion, contemporary apparel, or fast fashion.
• A strong portfolio showcasing original apparel designs, CAD illustrations, and relevant creative work.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends, trend forecasting, and the Gen Z women's apparel market.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD design, and tech pack development.
• Understanding of apparel silhouettes, fabrics, garment construction, and commercially relevant designs.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effective ly with a remote team.
