Job summary

Claire's is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the Hairs line with trend research, CAD, and sample-tracking. Learn the category from the ground up while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include maintaining line sheets, organizing fabrics and trims, and assisting with tech packs and product specifications. The role requires strong organization and a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, or related field.
• 0–2 years of design/product development experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with PLM or similar product lifecycle systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hairs line with trend research and CAD sketches.
• Create CAD sketches and update design files.
• Assist with tech packs and product specifications.
• Maintain line sheets and organize samples, fabrics, trims.
• Track samples to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare mood boards, color palettes, and presentation decks.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams; update PLM and design documentation.
• Absorb and analyze weekly sales information to apply learnings to future seasons.
