Job summary

Language Services Associates in Austin, TX is seeking independent interpreters fluent in English and Farsi to support LEP communities across diverse settings. As a contracted interpreter, you will handle multiple assignments with a focus on confidentiality and professional conduct.

Applicants with 1+ year of interpreting experience and relevant certifications (CMI, CCHI) are preferred. Transportation access and reliable reporting for assignments are expected.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Farsi proficiency.
• Strong ability to provide high levels of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport
