Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services, Inc. seeks a Farsi Instructor to support a U.S. government agency in Reston, VA. You will teach, translate, transcribe and interpret, combining language pedagogy with assessment to measure progress.

The role requires 5 years of adult-level instruction within the last 5 years, a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a degree in Education or Language. Candidates will develop lessons and undergo sponsor training to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years.
• Experience in Language Instruction/Facilitation, Language Testing, Course Design, Content Management, Editing and Quality Control, Summarizing/Gisting, Writing Reports, and media selection.

Responsibilities

• Teach ~40 hours per week with ~20 hours of teaching and ~20 hours on lesson development, assessment, and testing.
• Work under supervision of senior instructors and complete sponsor training to meet mission standards.
• Support testing and certification processes per sponsor requirements.

We are actively hiring a Farsi Instructor to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services. Must have 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years. Testing Requirements:Translation Assessment: 3;Speaking Listening Reading: 5/5/5

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing.
• Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
• Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards

The hourly pay rate for these position will range from $90.55 - $105.64.
