Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with farrowing operations and proper sow/piglet care per protocols.
• Monitor newborn piglets for colostrum intake and health.
• Perform piglet processing tasks per farm protocols.
• Monitor sows and piglets for illness or distress and report to management.
• Administer vaccinations and treatments as needed to maintain herd health.
• Ensure sow nutrition, hydration and lactation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary farrowing environment and enforce biosecurity.
• Maintain accurate breeding and farrowing data.
