Job duties:

• Shade Tobacco Harvesting: Pick leaves from plants, place in bins, load onto trailer, unload, and process leaves for drying and packing.
• Broadleaf Tobacco Harvesting: Chop plants, hang to dry, remove leaves, and pack into bundles.
• Additional duties: applying fertilizer and pesticides (under supervision), cleaning, handling harvested products, operating and repairing farm equipment, and irrigation activities.

Requirements:

• 1 month experience in related duties.
• Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing/pulling, sitting/walking, stooping/bending, and repetitive movements.
