Job description

Workers will work with vegetable crops, including onions, lettuce, spinach, and broccoli. Workers must be able to: operate farm machinery/equipment to fertilize soil and cultivate and spray crops; haul and spread fertilizer and other materials; plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water plants; apply pesticides and fertilizers; assist with seeding and cultivation activities, prepare land for agricultural use; operating farming equipment; perform manual agricultural tasks; load agricultural products; and perform any and all other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Highly repetitive motions to reach crops at ground level and place the crops in appropriate containers are required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Workers living in housing units with cooking and kitchen facilities may prepare their own meals. The employer will ensure weekly transportation to a nearby store where these workers can purchase groceries.

Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order.
