Job summary

H2ajobs in Texas is seeking workers to operate tractors and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow, fertilize, plant, cultivate, spray and harvest hay crops. Responsibilities include building stock ponds, feeding and caring for cattle, repairing fences and assisting irrigation channels.

Three months of verifiable cattle ranching experience is required for safety and welfare. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, along with regular transportation to stores for groceries.

Job description

Workers will operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest hay crops. Make and repair stock ponds, feeding and caring for cattle. Workers may also repair fences and participate irrigation activities. 3 months of verifiable experience in cattle ranching is required for the safety and well being of the workers, livestock and crops.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals, this includes basic appliances, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls and dish washing facilities for meal preparation etc. The employer will also provide (on a regular weekly basis and at no cost) transportation, to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

Transport: The employer offers prearranged chartered or commercial bus, van, or plane whichever is the most economical and reasonable means for the distance involved for the inbound and outbound workers travel. See addendum for more information.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
