Job summary

H2ajobs in Arkansas seeks a reliable farm worker to move grain into bins using a tractor and grain cart, while assisting with bin daily tasks and loading grain haul trucks. You will operate fans, heaters and augers, monitor moisture and temperature, and maintain the bin area and equipment.

Responsibilities include weekly lubrication, post-storm checks, and floor cleaning with augers. Housing and meals are provided, with access to groceries and travel reimbursement under H2A rules.

• Move grain to grain bins using tractor with grain cart and farm grain truck.
• Assist with grain bin daily tasks - check moisture, temperature, and proper function.
• Handle equipment like fans, heaters, stir augers - switching it on/off and move from one bin to another.
• Maintain grain bin system area to be clean, all spills picked up and processed.
• Maintain any breaks or leaks with the grain bin system.
• Weekly lube of the grain bin system.
• Check the grain bin system after each weather event.
• Clean bin floor once it is low - insert equipment to clean the floor (sweep auger). Use scoops and push brooms to move grain to the auger.
• Assist with loading of grain haul trucks and trailers.
• General maintenance of equipment and farm buildings.

The job duties are as follow, but not limited to:

Move grain to grain bins using tractor with grain cart and farm grain truck.

Assist with grain bin daily tasks - check moisture, temperature, and proper function.

Maintain grain bin system area to be clean, all spills picked up and processed.

Maintain any breaks or leaks with the grain bin system.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing provided to the workers have fully equipped kitchens where they can prepare and cook their own meals three times a day. The kitchens are fully functional and equipped with appliances such as stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher - all in working condition. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils for prepping and cooking food. Adequate sinks with the warm and cold water under pressure. The employer will ensure that workers have access to a grocery store at least once a week to purchase their own food/produce. Workers have access to vehicles to drive themselves to the grocery stores from the house to the stores and back.

Transport: The Employer will, as per H2A regulations, reimburse the worker for travel cost, including daily subsistence rates stipulated at the time, from the worker's place of residence to the workplace, and upon contract completion, from the workplace back to the worker's place of residence at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charge for the distance involved, for example return bus and or airfare.
