Job summary

H2ajobs in Texas is seeking cotton gin workers to assist with operation of gin facilities and related equipment. You will operate fork lifts, skid steers, and cotton processing machinery while performing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Applicants must work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, endure extreme temperatures, and support sanitation duties around yards and sheds. Housing and meals are provided, with occasional transportation assistance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Willingness to perform sanitation, cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist gin operator with equipment operation and basic repairs.
• Clear blockages and clean lint filters.
• Refill supplies, sweep floors, and remove trash.
• Move cotton to storage areas and transport between fields and sheds.
• Perform general sanitation duties including bathroom cleaning.

Job description

Workers will assist in the operation of cotton ginning. Workers will be required to operate various types of equipment including but not limited to a bail hoister, skid steer, forklift, cotton module feeder, cotton bailing press, and mote press. Workers may be required to assist the gin operator with various duties such as assisting or

making repairs to the equipment, clearing blockages, cleaning lint filters, refilling supplies, sweeping floors, removing trash buildup, picking up cotton on yard. All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and other farm and shed sanitation duties. Transport cotton from field to storage area.

Applicants must be able to work outdoors and carry loads up to 50 lbs. Position requires pushing, pulling, walking, and exposure to extreme temperatures. Workers must be physically able to bend and stoop for long periods of

time. Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Physically able to meet and perform all other job specifications. Workers may be required to manually move cotton seed bags which can weigh up to 50 lbs. Trabajadores asistiran en la operacion de desmotado de algodon. Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

Transport: After worker has completed 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse worker for the cost of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of employment.
