Position: (Farming Operator) North America Operations Specialist II – North America Field Testing and Pipeline Delivery

Location: Whitestown, Indiana

Help drive operational efficiency across North America Field Testing by capturing field data insights, operating cutting-edge technology, and fostering innovation. Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute field research trials through collaborative partnerships, machine operation, phenotyping, training, and data collection.
  2. Operate and maintain field research equipment using innovative technology to ensure high-quality data.
  3. Travel approximately 75% across North America, working in crops like corn, soybean, canola, wheat, and cotton.
  4. Maintain safety and efficiency in operations, adhering to SSHE, stewardship, and ethical standards.
  5. Collect, analyze, and deliver data on agronomic traits using digital and mechanical platforms.
  6. Collaborate with diverse teams and establish community partnerships.
  7. Provide training on field research equipment and develop supporting documentation.
  8. Drive over 15,000 business miles annually in a company-provided vehicle.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with equipment operation in agriculture, research, or related fields.
  • Ability to travel independently up to 75%, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including shifts and weekends.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses for medium/heavy vehicle operation.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with precision agriculture hardware/software.
  • Knowledge of regional crop practices and trends.
  • Certifications such as Pesticide Applicator and FAA Part 107 UAV license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cross-cultural teamwork experience.
