Food Forward Inc. seeks a Farmers Market Recovery Program Coordinator in Ventura, CA. This entry-level role supports the Farmers Market Recovery program, coordinating events with volunteers, vendors, and hunger-relief partners, and collaborating with CP staff in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

The position is hybrid, with on-site work at Ventura offices and occasional field days in markets. Evening and weekend availability is required, a valid CA driver license, and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Experience working with and engaging volunteers.
• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and with teams to meet program goals.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills, with a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly market gleans and events with volunteers, vendors, and partners.
• Maintain data from event reports using Excel, Google Workspace, Tableau, and CITRA.
• Lead events, assist with field tasks, and train/oversee 100+ volunteer leaders.
• Support program expansion, partner outreach, and volunteer engagement activities.
• Develop materials and workflows to improve staff efficiency and program operations.
