H2ajobs is hiring a Farm Truck Driver in Mississippi to operate non-CDL farm trucks and grain trailers, moving grain from on-farm storage to elevators, markets, and designated delivery points. You will secure loads, inspect trucks, maintain load records, and follow dispatch instructions.

Daily duties include fueling, tire pressure checks, cleaning interiors and exteriors, and reporting mechanical issues. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, outdoor work in heat, and adherence to safety

Job description

Job requires operating non-CDL farm trucks and grain trailers to transport grain commodities from on-farm storage facilities and grain bins to elevators, markets, and designated delivery locations. Workers will secure and transport grain commodities; inspect trucks and trailers before and after use; maintain accurate load and delivery records; and perform routine servicing and cleaning of trucks, trailers, and related hauling equipment. Workers will assist with monitoring grain condition during transport and maintaining orderly traffic flow around loading and unloading areas. Job also requires fueling trucks, checking tire pressure and fluid levels, cleaning truck interiors and exteriors, and reporting mechanical issues to management. Workers may use maps, GPS, or dispatch instructions to follow designated hauling routes between storage sites and delivery locations. Workers must follow all roadway safety requirements and employer safety protocols while operating non-CDL farm vehicles. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, road, and delivery conditions. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general hauling functions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers’ pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will provide, without charge or deposit, free and convenient kitchen and cooking facilities to prepare meals. The workers will be allowed time to drive themselves or will be transported to a store or market to purchase their own food and cooking supplies. Employer provided housing contains a refrigerator, stove, oven, and operational sink with hot and cold water under pressure. In the event that the workers are unable to prepare meals at the housing location, the employer will provide three sufficient meals a day free of charge.

Transport: After worker has completed 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse worker for the cost of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Employee transportation will be arranged to and from their country of origin by either plane, train, bus, taxi service or own vehicle; whichever is most economical. The employer will properly reimburse employees for such travel as defined in 20 CFR 655.122(h). Continued in Addendum C.

Experience wanted: 2 months

Job requires having, or being able to obtain, a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers. If employer discovers a criminal conviction record or status as a registered sex offender that employer reasonably believes, consistent with current law, will impair the safety and living conditions of other workers, the employer may terminate the worker (foreign and/or domestic) with notification to OFLC and DHS in accordance with 20 CFR 655.122(n). Position will require being capable of lifting 75 lbs, stooping, bending over, and performing repetitive movements. Workers will be performing job duties outdoors during the summer during which temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
