Listings Project is seeking a chef or cook in Margaretville, NY to execute our rotating menu and support menu development with the owner. The role focuses on organization, consistency, and high-quality plating in a small kitchen.

You will prep and assemble dishes, follow recipes, manage basic inventory, and ensure food safety during service. Open to varied skill levels, the team emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and hospitality in a welcoming, community-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food industry setting.
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures.
• Open to professional and non-professional cooks with a love of food, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Set up the kitchen for service and execute a small menu, organizing tickets and ensuring food goes out on time and beautifully plated.
• Follow recipes to prep for service and the days ahead.
• Assist with menu planning, as desired and appropriate, to develop new dishes or adapt to seasonal ingredients.
• Keep track of inventory of ingredients to support ordering and sourcing.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep work areas clean by following food safety procedures.
• Wash dishes during service to keep things moving and maintain a clean kitchen.
