Job summary

Aurora Organic Dairy is seeking a Farm Resource Specialist to support daily farm operations across multiple locations. You will collect data, maintain administrative workbooks, and assist in month-end reconciliations, inventory and KPI reporting.

Travel up to 30% is required to cover farm locations; bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred. The role demands attention to detail, independence, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and operate cattle inventory & nutrition data collection software essential to daily dairy operation.
  • Create and maintain administrative workbooks containing key dairy performance data.
  • Collect data needed to assist with the month-end feed reconciliation process.
  • Assist in the development of the farm data warehouse project.
  • Support records review and training for office personnel across farm locations.
  • Compile, review, and distribute daily and weekly production reports to farm and management teams.
  • Support farm commodity inventory maintenance and tracking to ensure accurate feed KPI dashboard updates.
  • Support the reconciliation of prepaid commodity agreements, including coordinating with vendors to help resolve discrepancies.
  • Act as a resource for farm teams, providing guidance on administrative matters.
  • Provide coverage for office personnel absences at any farm location as needed
  • Provide analytical support and analysis to management on an as-needed basis.
  • Other tasks and projects, as assigned

Purpose

The Farm Resource Specialist would play a key role in keeping our daily farm operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Sr. Manager, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in a variety of administrative tasks essential to farm success.

Learn and operate cattle inventory & nutrition data collection software essential to daily dairy operation.

Create and maintain administrative workbooks containing key dairy performance data.

Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma. Post Secondary Degree is a plus
  • Dairy or agriculture industry experience is a plus

Bilingual/Spanish skills are strongly preferred

This role offers the opportunity to travel to our four farm locations, with up to 30% travel, upto one week at a time and will occur when coverage is needed at one of our farm locations. Travel to our TX locations can be expected as well.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and focus for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen and/orwhile utilizing various office equipment (computers, calculators, copy machines, etc.).Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in dairy environments and be able to work in all weather conditions. Must have the ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs. Available for regular scheduled travel (including overnight) to remote facilities via automobile or airline.
