Job summary

Runnings is seeking a Department Manager for the Farm & Pet department at our Pontiac location in Illinois. The role focuses on merchandising and sales within the department, delivering top customer service and reporting to the Store Manager.

The position requires ability to work days, nights, and an alternating weekend schedule, with extensive knowledge of pet supplies and farm operations preferred. Pay range is $16.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer Service training and/or experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of pet supplies and farm operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
