Job summary

Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation seeks an agricultural laborer to assist with soil preparation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of crops across fields and controlled environments. The role includes assisting with fencing, grounds maintenance, and routine equipment cleaning and disinfection.

You will support livestock care for poultry, swine, and cattle, and participate in farmers markets and cultural events.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and two years' experience in agricultural farming.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and provide DMV driving history.
• Experience operating pickup trucks and towing trailers is required; snowplow knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil, plant, maintain, and harvest crops.
• Assist with fencing construction and maintenance; grounds upkeep across facilities.
• Move materials, transport produce to clients, and support at markets and events.
• Care for livestock including poultry, swine, and cattle; monitor welfare.
• Participate in farmers markets, pop-ups, and vendor events; assist with packing and setup.
