Job summary

Old South Carriage Company operates Sugah Cain Farm on Johns Island and seeks a dependable Farm Maintenance Technician to care for a 110-acre working horse farm outdoors.

You will operate tractors, mowers, and power tools, perform basic repairs, and maintain fences, barns, and equipment while keeping the property clean, safe, and well maintained. This is a flexible full-time opportunity with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with lawn, landscaping, farm, or equipment operation preferred.
• Comfortable operating tractors, mowers, and power tools.
• Basic mechanical and repair skills.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to perform physical work and lift 50+ lbs.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail.

• Mowing fields, pastures, and landscaped areas.

Sugah Cain Farm, home to the horses of Old South Carriage Company, is looking for a dependable and hardworking Farm Maintenance Technician to help maintain our 110-acre horse farm on Johns Island.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, fixing things, and taking pride in keeping a property looking and functioning its best.

Responsibilities

• Mowing fields, pastures, and landscaped areas
• Operating tractors, zero-turn mowers, and other farm equipment
• Maintaining and performing basic repairs on equipment and tools
• Repairing and maintaining fencing, gates, barns, and other farm structures
