Minimum Experience and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months of commercial agricultural experience, preferably on a fruit or vegetable farm handling manual and mechanized tasks including crop production and harvesting.
• Ability to perform manual and mechanized tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to furnish verbal or written proof of relevant prior work experience.
• Work on Saturdays required.
• Ability to lift/carry 75 lbs.

Job Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, and harvest fruits and vegetables using hand tools and machinery.
• Perform tasks such as weeding, thinning, transplanting, staking, and pruning.
• Harvest and pack crops, ensuring quality standards and careful handling.
• Operate agricultural equipment safely, including tractors, mowers, sprayers, and loaders.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers as needed.
• Assist with farm maintenance, repairs, and fencing.
• Prepare fields for planting, including soil removal and planting nursery stock.
• Handle crops carefully to prevent damage and meet customer standards.
• Work in various weather conditions, including rain, dew, and extreme temperatures.
• Follow safety rules and operate equipment responsibly.

Additional Information

• Work involves long periods in the field, repetitive movements, and extensive walking.
• Must be able to work in wet conditions and handle allergens and chemicals safely.
