Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers for cattle ranch duties in Texas. Responsibilities include tending and herding livestock, feeding and watering, and basic health checks. Training will be provided, and housing and meals are supplied on site.

Travel reimbursement is available for distant workers, and visa/permit costs will be reimbursed. Experience is requested at 3 months and the role is on-site with housing, meals, and facilities provided.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in livestock handling or related work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Attend to livestock and herd them to pasture for grazing.
• Feed and water livestock on schedule and monitor health.
• Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; assist with vaccinations.

Job description

Workers will preform a combination of the following duties associated with cattle ranch work; attend to livestock, feed and water livestock, herd livestock to pasture for grazing, examine animals to detect diseases and injuries, assist with vaccination of livestock, apply medication to cuts and bruises, spray livestock with insecticide. Assist with castration of livestock, general care, feeding and branding or livestock, and any repairs to the livestock living area.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing facility has fully operational kitchen that is free and convenient for workers to prepare their meals.

Transport: Employer will comply with completion travel compensation rules for distant workers. In addition, transportation, visa, and border crossing expenses will be reimbursed on or before the first pay day. The employer will provide or pay permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. The employer will fully reimburse the employees for all travel cost.
