Job summary

• Keep housing, yard, shop and shop areas clean and free of debris; follow all work and safety rules.
• Drug testing may occur post-hire at no cost to ensure safety and compliance.

Job description

Workers will perform work related to baiting and harvesting crawfish, pulling crawfish traps at the end of the year for storeage, and will also work as a general farm labor on a rice farm which includes irrigation duties, fertilizing, keeping fields free of debris, performing minor repair and maintenance to farm equipment and vehicles, as well as any other general farm labor duties that may be associated with crawfish and rice farms. Some tractor driving may be required. Workers will be responsibel for keeping the housing and yard clean and free of debris as well as the shop and shop areas. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties. Workers will be required to follow all work and safety rules. Workers may be drug tested post-hire at no cost to the workers to ensure worker safety and to keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines.

• Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
• Meals: Housing is offered free of charge and has cooking and kitchen facilities.
• Transport: Workers will choose thier own mode of inbound and outbound transportation. Workers will be reimbursed for the most economical mode of transportation. Inbound transportation will be reimbursed upon 50% of the completed from the place of origin to the place of employmnet contract and the outbound upon completion of the contract, any extension or upon no cause termination from the place of employment to the place of origin or to a certified H2A employer.
• At the employers descretion, the workers may receive a bonus contingent upon work performance and productivity.
