Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) seeks a Federal Work Study trainee to assist with horse care, barn maintenance and farm operations. You will help with chores, monitor horse health, and support facilities maintenance on LBCC grounds.

Must maintain LBCC enrollment of 6+ credits, keep good academic progress, and have financial aid in place. Evening and weekend shifts are possible, with background checks as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC and have financial aid in place.
• Satisfactory academic progress and a 2.0+ GPA might be required.
• Experience with farm tasks or a willingness to learn is needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform barn chores (cleaning stalls, handling horses, bedding).Assist with property maintenance and farm operations.
• Assist with farm tasks such as plowing, planting, fertilizing and harvesting as needed.
• Serve as liaison per center procedures; escalate to Faculty or Instructional Specialist when required.
• Work in outdoor farm settings, including evenings, weekends, and college closures.
