Rolling Prairie Farm is a 3,200-acre corn and soybean operation located in central Illinois. The family-owned operation also grows wheat to balance crop rotation. The family has a long-standing commitment to soil and water conservation, serving on the county Soil and Water Conservation Board and as a trustee for the Township Drainage District. The farm is a Beck's Hybrids Seed dealer and raises seed beans for Beck's. Their grain system includes a grain leg, scales, several bins, and warehouse facilities for seed storage. Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of farm equipment and farmstead.
• Operate large farming equipment, including semi tractors/trailers for grain hauling during and after harvest (no overnight over-the-road hauling).
• Repairing field tiles.
• Spring and fall field work.
• Warehousing and delivering seed.
• Maintenance of grain bins and dryers.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform light repairs on modern farm equipment such as tractors, tillage equipment, planters, sprayers, combines, grain carts, GPS and computer systems, semi tractors and trailers, forklifts.
• Operate and maintain grain drying equipment and storage facilities, including climbing bins for maintenance.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

• Experience working on a grain farm.
• Experience operating large equipment such as John Deere 4WD tractors, front-wheel assist tractors, combines, semi tractors, and trailers.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with modern farm equipment operation.
• General maintenance skills including painting, carpentry, welding, woodworking, fabricating, tire changing.
