Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm laborer in Colorado to operate tractors and feedlot equipment, grind hay, and perform routine maintenance. You will maintain water systems, clear snow, and assist with feed preparation and equipment repairs.

Applicants should have basic English literacy, be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days, and have about two months of farming experience. Housing and meals are provided, with transportation support per SB87.

Qualifications

• 2 months farm work experience required.
• Basic English literacy and math skills required.
• Job requires ability to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Physical work in varying weather conditions; lifting and bending may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate various tractors and equipment to maintain the feedlot.
• Grind hay and repair hay grinder as needed; winterize equipment.
• Maintain and repair feedlot water systems; snow and ice removal in feedlot and alleys.
• Repair and clean waste from winter holding locations; clean and weld as needed.
• Perform engine repairs and maintenance on feed trucks and loaders; mix rations when needed.
