Job summary

Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment in Freeport, ME, is seeking an Assistant Farm Camp Manager to support daily operations, lead after care, and guide staff through curriculum implementation. The role requires strong leadership, experience working with youth, and a passion for sustainable agriculture.

The position runs May–September, with full-time seasonal hours and onsite duties on a working farm.

Qualifications

• Experience with children/youth in outdoor settings.
• Supervising, coaching or mentoring peers or young people.
• Leadership in arts, nature, cooking, livestock, or science activities.
• Background in sustainable agriculture, farming or environmental science.

Responsibilities

• Support daily program operations and logistics, including camp-wide activities and curriculum implementation.
• Support staff with curriculum development, activity setup, coaching, and feedback.
• Lead Farm Camp After Care daily from 4-5pm, Monday through Thursday.
• Coordinate staff training and provide additional support as needed.
• Assist with camper supervision and address campers' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding updates and notes.
