Job summary

Weatherlow Farms seeks a reliable individual for an engaging farm experience in Southcoast Massachusetts. The role includes multi-faceted responsibilities across the farm’s store, wholesale and florals operations, with occasional livestock care.

You must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a cold environment, and there is potential for full-time employment. Starting at $18/hr with 20–30 hours per week, flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow into a full-time position are available for

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for working on a farm and promoting local products.
• Love of good food and beautiful flowers.
• Self-starter with a serious work ethic, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Pack, invoice and stock store with weekly orders
• Maintain store stock levels
• Wash, sort and package eggs (seasonal)
• Provide back-up to retail manager as needed (coverage, inventory)
• Assist with packaging and labeling
• Transport weekly kitchen offerings to store prior to opening
• Pull product / defrost as needed
• Advise on low inventory for packaging (clam shells, dog food, etc.)
• Advise on low inventory for “always in stock” items
• Pack, Invoice, Deliver wholesale orders
• Maintain relationships with vendors
• Maintain highly organized and efficient on-farm walk-in freezer
• Product pick up from packing facility
• Delivery & organization of product and pallets at off-site cold storage facility
• Weekly deliveries to wholesale clients
• Provide occasional back-up care for livestock and dogs
• Egg collection, feeding/watering of hens, dog feeding/walking, cleaning, etc.

The position requires hard work, enthusiasm, and discretionary decision making. This dynamic support role is multi-faceted and contributes to many aspects of the farm's different businesses units.

Farm Store Responsibilities:

Pack, invoice and stock store with weekly orders

Maintain store stock levels

Wash, sort and package eggs (seasonal)

Provide back-up to retail manager as needed (coverage, inventory, etc.)

Assist with packaging and labeling

Transport weekly kitchen offerings to store prior to opening
