Job description

Supervisor Responsibilities

Supervise the Family Visitation Program across Somerset, Knox, and Waldo Counties. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting Visit Support Workers, reviewing and assigning visitation referrals, assisting in supervising visits as needed, overseeing visitation centers, reviewing documentation, and collaborating with a team to manage the program. The supervisor will be based in Skowhegan and must travel regularly to Rockland and Belfast. Availability during peak hours of 2–7 pm Monday through Friday is required, with flexibility to adjust work hours as necessary.

Additional Requirements

• Reliable transportation and a State of Maine driver’s license to transport youth for visits.
• Physical ability to lift young children into and out of vehicles, carry infants in car seats, and move children to vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
• At least 12 months of documented experience working with children and families.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
