Life Network in Peyton, Colorado, is seeking a Family Thrift Store Production & Donation Associate to support its mission. You will handle donations, assist customers, and help price and merchandise items in a fast-paced, faith-based nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities include greeting donors, communicating Life Network’s message, maintaining store and production area cleanliness, and participating in major events.

FAMILY THRIFT STORE PRODUCTION & DONATION ASSOCIATE

The position of Family Thrift Store Production & Donation Associate presents an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, self-directed individual to support the mission of Life Network. This role is donor-facing and requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to perform physical tasks associated with receiving, processing, and merchandising donated goods. This position will be under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cheerfully greet donors and receive donations
• Effectively communicate Life Network’s mission statement
• Sort and price donated items
• Maintains an atmosphere of teamwork and fellowship with other staff and volunteers
• Ensures donated items meet FTS standards for quality and suitability
• Merchandise processed items onto the sales floor as appropriate, contributing to a well-organized and appealing shopping environment
• Provide excellent customer service while on the sales floor
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the production areas to facilitate efficient donation processing
• Participation by all staff is required at Life Network’s major events

EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate
• Thrift store or retail experience a plus

• Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs. and performing physical tasks associated with donation handling and store maintenance
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, able to meet transportation needs as required by the position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, and move about the store and production areas for extended periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and twisting when receiving, sorting, and processing donated goods
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. on a regular basis
• Repetitive use of hands and arms for sorting, pricing, and merchandising items
• Visual, hearing, and verbal ability sufficient to communicate with donors, customers, and staff
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with donation handling and store and production-area maintenance

CLASSIFICATION

Full-time, Non-Exempt at 40 hours per week. Pay range: $15.16 - $17.50 per hour. Scheduled hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Saturdays required). Reports to the Store Manager. Primarily working out of the our Falcon Thrift Store.
