Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Frontenac, Missouri is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to manage and train Aquatics Team Members, assist members with swimming progress, and maintain clean, safe facilities across indoor and outdoor pools.

Candidates must have 6 months of customer service, 1 year coaching or swim instruction, 1 year lifeguarding, 6 months as head guard or supervisor, plus StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications; some college is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience.
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience.
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience.
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year).

Job description

Position Summary

As the Aquatics Supervisor, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. This position assists in managing and training all Aquatics Team Members. You will help members and guests by providing great customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures Aquatics Team Members offer a safe and friendly environment for all members and guests
• Responds to Member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures
• Ensures we have the highest level of programming
• Promotes Life Time swim program

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Years of Experience:

• 6 months of customer service experience
• 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first).For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some college or working towards a 4 year degree
