The Urban League of Rhode Island seeks a Family Support Partner to work with youth in the care of the RI Department of Children, Youth, and Families. This role focuses on building relationships with families, promoting reunification, and coordinating activities in a supportive environment. Position Summary: This role works with youth and young adults in the care and custody of the RI Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), living in a residential setting. The Family Support Partner is responsible for working with these youth, their families, and kin to promote meaningful contact. They utilize lived experience to develop authentic relationships, foster collaboration, and reduce barriers to reunification. The role involves coordinating family engagement activities to provide a safe, therapeutic environment, and may include direct support and services for youth. The involvement with residents and families is based on family choice, with the duration varying per family.
