Job summary

Firefly Children and Family Alliance in Muncie, Indiana, is seeking a part-time Family Support Specialist to guide, document, and coordinate visitation for the families we serve. The role covers Grant, Delaware, Randolph, Jay, Blackford, Wells, and Adams counties, with evening shifts and transportation responsibilities as needed.

You will work closely with families and youth, maintaining required documentation, and participating in court-related processes when necessary, while upholding

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Some experience in a Human Services field preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance with 6 or less points on driving record.

Responsibilities

• Family Progress - Monitoring and Coaching (70%): Complete all required documentation; Oversee visits between children and their parents in our visitation offices or community; Help schedule visits; Coach collaboratively – maintaining a balance between teaching and serving; Provide education and support to youth/families; Assist youth/families in achieving their goals; Attend all required meetings; It is understood that each employee follows professional standards; Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the supervisor; Communicate with multiple institutions related to youth/family matters; Provide transportation to youth/families; Attend court with clients and render recommendations.
