Healthcare & Emergency Solutions is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing culturally competent, equitable healthcare services for historically excluded communities. Our team of public health professionals and clinical experts is equipped to manage state contracts. We seek high-performing contractors to deliver services including: Behavior Aide (BA), Family/Children counseling, assessments, transportation, child supervision, and drug screening.

This is a 1099 Contractor role, allowing you to build your schedule, choose cases, and increase your compensation based on services provided, in partnership with an agency that supports professional growth.

As a Family Support Counselor - Gwinnett, you will support families through challenges, providing counseling to children and families involved in the justice system, aiming to reduce child abuse and neglect. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, trauma-focused therapy, in-home support, and collaboration with social workers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing crisis intervention and emotional support
  • Conducting problem-solving sessions using modalities like CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy
  • Performing intensive case management and in-home counseling
  • Assisting in the safe return of children to caregivers
  • Providing substance abuse education and treatment
  • Developing coping skills and treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services
  • 3 years of human services experience
  • Master-level professional eligible for Georgia licensure (e.g., LAMFT, LAPC, LMSW)
  • 1 year experience in diagnosis and treatment planning
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree and licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)

Additional requirements include experience working with children or adults, CDA certification, strong clinical and crisis skills, valid Georgia driver’s license, reliable transportation, professional liability insurance, and completion of required online trainings.

This role covers services in multiple Georgia counties, including regions 1 through 5.
