Job summary

The Villages of Indiana is seeking a Family Assessment/Support Worker to provide client-centered, culturally competent services to children and families. You will conduct home visits, interviews, and ongoing support to strengthen parent-child relationships and connect families with community resources.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience with children and families, plus the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and advocate for families.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to establish trusting relationships with families.
• Experience working with or providing services to children and families preferred.
• Knowledge of family-centered approaches and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client-centered, culturally competent services to children and families.
• Serve as regular, long-term contact/support with families.
• Conduct in-home visits to assist families in strengthening parent-child relationships and setting goals.
• Perform in-home parent assessments/interviews, data collection, and needs assessment.
• Provide child development information, family safety guidance, and connect families to resources.
• Act as liaison between Healthy Families and referral agencies; advocate for families.
