Job summary

Parent Cooperative Community (PCC) in El Dorado Hills, CA is seeking an experienced Family Specialist to join our Wraparound team serving families in the El Dorado Hills/Sacramento County area. This is an advanced direct-service role requiring knowledge of Wraparound, trauma-informed and attachment-focused practice, coaching caregiver skills, and collaboration with the Child and Family Team.

The position is full-time, salaried, with a morning/evening flexible schedule and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Psychology, child development, social work, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 4+ years of experience working with children, youth, and families.
• Experience with Wraparound services and principles strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment-focused practice, and family-centered services.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic, strengths-based relationships with children, youth, caregivers, and families.
• Support family voice, choice, and participation throughout the Wraparound process.
• Coach caregivers in understanding and responding to challenging behaviors.
• Apply trauma-informed and attachment-focused approaches.
• Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and individualized family strategies.
• Develop natural supports and meaningful school and community connections.
• Collaborate with the Child and Family Team and Wraparound Clinician.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in CFT meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement activities.

About the Role

Parent Cooperative Community (PCC) is seeking an experienced Family Specialist to join our Wraparound team serving families in the El Dorado Hills/Sacramento County area.

This is an advanced direct-service position for someone with strong knowledge of Wraparound, trauma-informed and attachment-focused practice, and experience supporting families with complex or higher-acuity needs. The Family Specialist builds trusting relationships with families, coaches caregiver skill development, strengthens natural supports, and works collaboratively with the Child and Family Team and Wraparound Clinician.

Work Environment/ Schedule

This is a field-based role with services provided in homes, schools, communities, and other settings. Frequent local travel is required, with occasional evening and weekend availability based on family needs. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, registration, and insurance are required.

Flexible Schedule: Scheduling is structured around the needs and availability of the families served. Mon - Fri is typical, with occasional late afternoon/evening or weekend availability as needed.
