Job summary

The State of Wyoming's Department of Family Services is seeking a Social Worker to help Wyoming families by assessing needs and linking them to vital resources. You will work with youth and families in community or placement settings, develop and monitor treatment plans, and coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include maintaining case files, testifying in court when needed, and providing group education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Social Services).
• Experience: 0-2 years in Social Services Programs at a Social Services Aide level.
• OR substitution: 3-5 years in Social Services Programs at the Aide level.

Responsibilities

• Determines client needs for basic social services for children and adults.
• Carries a caseload and keeps all case file documentation current.
• Works collaboratively with law enforcement, other professionals, and agencies.
• Develops and monitors treatment plans for youth in the community or placement.
• Prepares assessments, designs case plans, and evaluates progress.
• Prepares for and testifies in court and attends multi-disciplinary meetings.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Social Services)

3-5 years progressive work experience in Social Services Programs (Substitution)
