Job summary

Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) seeks a compassionate Social Services professional to join our team in Douglas, Wyoming. You will handle a caseload, coordinate with law enforcement and agencies, and develop treatment plans for youth and families in the community and placement settings.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services and 0–2 years of progressive experience, or 3–5 years at the Social Services Aide level.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Social Services)
• Experience: 0–2 years progressively in Social Services Programs at the level of Social Services Aide
• OR 3–5 years progressively in Social Services Programs at the level of Social Services Aide
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None

Responsibilities

• Determines client needs for basic social services for children and adults.
• Carries a caseload and keeps all case file documentation current.
• Works collaboratively with law enforcement, other professionals, and agencies.
• Develops and monitors treatment plans for youth in the community (home) and/or placement, including foster care and residential.
• Interviews clients, reassesses needs, and refers clients to community resources.
• Prepares assessments, designs case plans, and monitors placements.
