Job summary

Northeast Arc in Danvers, MA is seeking a Family Resource Specialist to support families and individuals with developmental disabilities, delivering in-home and community services within the Family Services Division.

This full-time role covers the Family Resource Center and Guided Personal Supports (GPS) program; you will help families access supports, reduce stress, and promote well-being with independence and discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.

Target Salary: $25.00 - $26.00 hourly

Job Summary

At Northeast Arc, our mission is to help people with disabilities become full participants in their communities, choosing for themselves how to live, learn, work, socialize, and play. The Family Resource Specialist plays a meaningful role in bringing that mission to life every day.

This is a full-time position split between two programs within the Family Services Division: the Family Resource Center (FRC) and the Guided Personal Supports (GPS) program. In this role, you will participate in the delivery of family support services, assist families in the process of identifying and accessing the supports necessary to alleviate stress and promote their health and well-being, and provide in-home and community support for adults with developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, preferred. Knowledge of community-based services is required.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complete multiple complex projects or tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly detail-oriented and able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Ability to safely access community settings. Valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation, and an clear motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to attend off-site meetings and events; light physical activity required. Sitting at a desk approximately 50% of the day; standing and walking the remaining 50% of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Attendance at all annual mandatory trainings required by the program as well as Northeast Arc.
• Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment.
