Responsibilities

• Advises on quality of life and Family Program matters to maximize retention and readiness.
• Assists in planning and implementing the Family Program, including readiness and volunteer management.
• Develops and maintains information/referral systems for the military community and coordinates information dissemination.
• Conducts seminars, conferences, and training; identifies needs and develops programs for family members.
• Maintains volunteer hours; supports Family Readiness Groups and designs volunteer training/recognition.
• Represents the program at conferences; assists with budgets and staff support to units.
• Plans mobilization processes for pre-, during, and post-deployment issues; coordinates with community resources.
• Advises chain of command on programs and policies to improve family readiness; ensures guideline compliance.
• Coordinates state family youth program and collaborates with local youth organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
