Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, at the South Oakland Family YMCA, is seeking a Program Aide to assist with planning, implementing and event management of youth and adult programming. Responsibilities include helping programs run smoothly, supporting instructors, managing supplies, and proper storage of equipment, with duties assigned by a supervisor.

Preferred experience with children and basic programming knowledge, but not required; the role features flexible scheduling and a family‑friendly

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a supervised setting is preferred, not required.
• Basic programming knowledge is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the planning and implementing of programming activities.
• Ensures programs run smoothly by assisting where needed. This includes assisting with programs or teaching programs.
• Maintain the quality and inventory of the supplies, equipment and materials.
• Assists in proper storage of program equipment.
• Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.
