Job Description: Market Medical Director

The Market Medical Director is a vital member of the ArchWell Health leadership team. This physician will lead primary care providers in their local clinics, potentially practicing clinically alongside colleagues to stay connected with patients.

Key leadership responsibilities include:

  1. Provider Management: Supporting and leading physicians and care teams on-site, ensuring proper staffing, call coverage, recruiting, coaching, and supporting performance reviews and ongoing training.
  2. Leadership and Coaching: Promoting high-quality care by coaching physicians on managing patient care effectively, utilizing data-driven tools, and exemplifying best practices to keep patients healthy and out of the hospital.
  3. Care Delivery and Operations: Leading clinical meetings, supporting care team activities such as telehealth and patient follow-up, and fostering a culture of accountability through regular review of quality metrics.
  4. Organizational Strategy Support: Collaborating with corporate and market leadership to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Culture Drive: Embodying and promoting the organization's mission to transform primary care and improve patient lives, fostering a collaborative and proud team environment.

Qualifications include:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • At least one year of administrative or management experience in primary care
  • Experience supervising healthcare providers and staff
  • Experience in managed care or value-based care models
  • Collaborative team leadership with a patient-centered approach
  • Passion for caring for the elderly, those with comorbidities, or underserved populations

Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekend or evening hours.
